i fucking hate iraq.. i hate the moment i was brought to this country.. i just want to live in peace and to not care about anything in the world.. i can't escape the madness.. i try to do stuff and an explosion is there in front of me and i have to duck for cover.. i try to go to work and i find fucking americans in their tanks blocking my fucking road and shooting people if they come near them.. i try to visit a friend and a pickup full of policemen drives by shooting in the air and freaking the shit out of me if i don't pull over.. i try to watch tv and i find every fucking loser who came from london and teheran blabbering about democracy while they hide in the green zone and put our money in their swiss bank accounts... i want to watch a movie or listen to a song but the fucking electricity is out and i can't use the generator much because of black market petrol.. i go online trying to chat to a friend or surf for porn and everyone is asking me about fucking iraq.. even fucking saddam is laughing at us safe in his cell while we keep getting killed.. i can't escape the madness.. i can't do a thing about it.. i seriously need to just get drunk and cry..

Yeah, the Kid has a nice blog - he just posts too infrequently ;) - so you should indeed do that.

As to your post... let's talk about music or movies then. :D

You know what? You need to become religious. Then you can spend all your time obsessing about the invaders in Iraq, and instead of being freakin' bored to death, you can SHOOT people to death!
lol, just kidding... ;) :P

But seriously, becoming religious would help...you'd have more friends...you'd have constructive hobbies (like being a freedom fighter - with all those Americans walking around shooting people randomly, you'd never run out of targets! And when you're bored with that, you can head over to the local masjid and get psyched up again and go out and shoot some more Americans!)...and you'd be grounded. You'd have a reason to live - God. And...you probably don't care, do you? All right, I'll shut up now...

I can't tell you how glad I am to read this blog! Finally a man with some balls! I am truly sorry you are going through the hell on earth the Bush Regime has unleashed on your country. Hang in there, and know there are many in this world (including Amerika) who stand with you.
Keep up the great work! Stop by The Sappho Manifesto anytime & say hello!

Dayez, in case you aren't familiar with US slang, people who use works like "Amerika" and "Kalifornia" are communists/anarchists. That's supposed to be some kind of reference to the Cyrillic character that they have a fetish about, from the old USSR days.

And with supporters like that, Iraq will be in good shape in another 150 years or so.

heh.. I was just making an assumption, but check out two of the for books that Sapoho tried to read:

# Che Guevara-A Revolutionary Life
# Ya Basta!Ten years of the Zapatista uprising

What a fun person!

What's your problem? Did I offend you in some way for you to make assumptions about me, and say " check out the two books that Sappho TRIED to read"???
I am not a communist, nor do I TRY to read, I fuckin read!
Iraq will be in "good shape" in about 150 years because of Bush, not because of Iraqi sympathizers such as myself.
I was commenting to the WRITER of this blog, not you asshole! Mind your business!

If I write the word 'prezident' does that mean I'm a communist/anarchist? I'm not. And I write that all the time. and I have a book sitting here, let's see, what is the title..... 'Global Justice" by Che Guevara. Huh, how did that get there? Must have been brought in by the anarchy elves. Funny, I thought I was a Green-slash- Democrat! I sympathize with you sappho, some folks like to label others at the expense of the meaning of what's being said. Reading interesting viewpoints does not make a person the thing that they are reading.

You have a great blog, Dayez, and I look forward to reading more of it! You are brave. You also have interesting taste in music, it seems very old-American to me, but it's not bad. I hope the elections on Thursday go well with no violence. Then I hope you write about it. I'd like to know if they are even going to be legitimate and not a set-up by the U.S.

Sapho, you wanna talk to the blogger without talker to the other readers, send him a fucking e-mail, asshole. Your comment was fucking offensive, so I felt like maybe somebody ought to know what kind of a jackass was making it.

I only wihs you had a pic in your profile with the greasy hair and the tatoos on your neck and the pins through your cheeck and shit.

You know what sucks the most, hun? I was just guessing, but I was right. DO you have any idea how pathitic it is for you to be THAT predictable, form a few written sentences?

1.) Learn how to fucking spell moron!
2.)Mind your own business
3.)If you go back & read my original comment, nothing is offensive about it. I only stated how I love the author of this blog's site, & how many people stand with him.
4.)Just because a COUPLE of the books I like happen to be about Che Guevara &/or the Zapatista's dosen't make me a communist, or "predictable".
5.)I do not have greasy hair, tattoo's on my neck & pins through my cheeck!
6.)And you weren't right ASSHOLE, you don't know me from Eve, for you to assume you know me, was ignorant & wrong of you. You are so hostile for something so ridiculous & trivial. Makes me wonder if you forgot to take your Lithium today sweetie!

I would be a fucking ignorant fool if I told you I know what you are going through.

But, I am not sure it is Iraq that you hate. You hate the American Occupiers, and their puppets in Police uniforms. You hate the pompus presumptuness of those who preach democracy in thr green zone while their Storm Troopers kill your people in the streets.

You see through the so called good nature of the Americans. You see how they are not in Iraq to liberate anyone or anything. That makes you mad and it should.

Now do womething.

I'm a former Marine, and to read that people actually believe Americans are over in Iraq just to kill and cause chaos is insane.

Maybe the Iraqi's would rather have Saddam back in power, I really don't know, but it's the same old story,...
America steps in, frees a country of a ruthless dictator, and is hated and despised for it by the people we freed, and by (unbelievably), US (and I use the term loosely), Citizens.

We freed the French from Nazi occupation loosing over 30,000 men in the process, and what do those who gave their lives for others get in return?
The French want to dig up their bones and throw them into the ocean.
I say screw Iraq and every numbnut that lives there.
Lets get the hell out and fortify our borders.
Let these people fend for themselves for a change.
After all if they were competent they should be able to handle the situation on their own.
Not unlike the American revolution, where farmers and militiamen beat the best and most highly trained army (the British), of the time. It just takes guts and determination, and God on your side.

I am an American in the military. I have been to Iraq. Convoy Ops. I also participated in public relation operations in Kurdishstan. I had the chance to witness the heartache and struggle that the Iraqi people go through on a day to day basis. I understand what the author is talking about, because I myself had those same thoughts the short time I spent there. I cannot image a lifetime of the fighting and continual hassle in a persons day to day life. I too feared for my life many times, as well as expirenced the boredem and frustration. Grant it, I had the comforting thought of knowing that if I made it back home I would be far away from all this. But I can understand some of the feelings on both sides of this argument. I will not lie. I felt hatered at certain points, but I also felt sorrow at others. I wish these feelings on no one. Hatered was the hardest to deal with. I still cope with it to this day, but I do not allow it to interfer with my day to day life. It has been a true learning expirence for me. If only the world understood both sides of the story. But I support the idea of a better Iraq, no matter how it is accomplished. Whether by force, police, politics, love, or any other positive outcome action.

As for using US soldiers as target practice, that is not a positive outcome for either side. American Rules of Engagement clearly state that we are not allowed to eliminate a threat untill it becomes a threat or acts in a hostile manner toward US or CF. After this act is committed then the threat is to be eliminated. I apologize for the military standing but past comments have disturbed me. My fellow Americans, and Brothers/Sisters at Arms are over there simple doing their job. None of them want to come back in a body bag. This is my job. Im not a hero, nor do I expect anyone to call me such. I went, did my job, and came home. Bettering life is paramount, and to do so the world must come together and defeat the evil which fuels this war. Thank you for your time. And thank you, Blogger, for your insight on your side of the tracks.

Yes, I hate Iraq too, I hated being forced to be there for a year by the Nazi government that rules my country. I also hated threatening people like you, but it was better than being blown up by a car bomber. Best of luck to you.

everyone needs to remember that just about every soldier and marine over in Iraq right now is there because they were ordered too. I joined the army to defend my country I can understand why many people don't see how being in Iraq is really defending America and I couldn't really even answer that myself. But I want to point out that as a soldier myself I do what I'm told and if someone shoots at me I shoot them just like anyone else would in that situation.

I conducted many road blocks and I thought the same thing that Dayez said we are making the people's lives in Iraq worse right now. Right now is the key point to note, sometimes you have to suffer now for the future to be better.

i'm a medically retired marine infantryman who has served in iraq for 13 months total. i can totally see where the author is comming from, but look when he posted that comment. even if he lives out in al anbar, we kicked off operation steel curtain about that time. and yes, it was hectic, and yes, some people were in the wrong place at the wrong time, but i can guarentee you that all marines and soldiers arn't over there to just kill iraqi's. i've been invited into many homes all over the al anbar province, and i love the culture. i really do. but by doing what i was told to do, i wasnt expecting immediate results, i was hoping for the children that i saw everyday, that they would grow up and have the FREEDOM OF SPEECH that we have in the USA. that they could protest their leaders and not be killed by their "elected" officials. that maybe, someday, the leader of iraq wouldn't gas 300,000 of his own citizens (the Kurds, in northern iraq). thats why we are there, in my opinion, however insignificant or wrong it might be. thinking of it that way lets me sleep at night. (oh, and by the way, the US and CF turned over one province in al anbar completely to Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police control, in late 2007. just a fun fact to think about. we're making progress.)

Ok so I'm just going to say it, I have several Middle Eastern friends who say Islam is a peaceful religion, that no where in the Koran does it speak up for killing. My friends have shown me several differnt pieces of news, plainly showing the Jews treating the PALESTIAN'S the same way Hitler treated them. It makes me angry to see it, it confuses me how someone would cry out for help because of an injustice but turn around and afford another race with the same treatment.
What makes them believe they deserve a land in which people have for years lived in. I was raised Christian, born again but I am human. And whats worse is I live in a country that backs the Isreali's. I don't support them, I want nothing to do with them, why does America always have to help.

And one more thing, do you Think for a second we, I want our Good AmericaN Soldiers over there, NO WAY. i WANT THEM HOME WITH THIER FAMILIES, building thier lives. Got it!!!! I don't want America helping out freaking Haiti, I don't want America helping Iraq or the JEWS, i don't want America cleaning up other countries messes, and using Our American Troops, Our MEN AND our tax DOLLARS. And not for nothing we are in 2010 people why can't other countries evolve to something better on thier owN. I DON'T WANT ANYONE HURT, I JUST WANT PEOPLE WHO HAVE CREATED A MESS TO CLEAN IT UP ON THIER OWN.

Well, I wish I could believe you. If that is true, then why all the killings?

Now that Saddam is gone, why not get serious about putting the country back together, sharing the oil profits and starting to live normal, productive and happy lives?

Except for George Bush, I'm sure most Americans would like to leave Iraq as soon as possible, hopefully in one piece.

A wish for peace in the New Year!
